With one week until Election Day, Republican Kari Lake and Democrat Ruben Gallego are working toward picking up crucial votes from a younger generation of voters.

Arizonans advised the former and soon-to-be president on immigration and held a top role at NASA when he was president. And as Trump starts to assemble his new administration, some speculate that Arizonans are again eyeing key roles that align with some of the state’s most prominent issues,

The biggest concern Republicans had with Lake heading into the election still hangs over the race amid vote-counting.

Republican Kari Lake on Friday continued to slowly chip away at the number of votes separating her and her Democratic opponent Ruben Gallego as more results were released in the race for one of Arizona’s U.

Some races, such as the 6th Congressional District battle between incumbent Juan Ciscomani and challenger Kirsten Engel, remain exceptionally close.

Lake fared well in another batch from Maricopa County but faces an uphill climb in areas with the most outstanding votes.
