Connor McDavid continues to do Connor McDavid things. During Thursday night's contest against the Nashville Predators, the Edmonton Oilers forward found himself in an odd-man rush with linemate Leon Draisaitl flanked on his side and buried a puck past goalie Scott Wedgewood.

Connor McDavid became the fourth-fastest NHL player to reach 1,000 points, scoring early in the second period for the Edmonton Oilers against the Nashville Predators on Thursday night.

McDavid became the 999th player to reach the 1,000-point plateau in NHL history. Only legends Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Mike Bossy have reached the mark faster. The Oilers star has lived up to the billing that was advertised for him when he first came into the league as the first overall pick in the 2015 draft.
