An injury on the practice field will cost Steelers rookie right tackle Troy Fautanu at least four weeks. The Steelers have announced that Fautanu is being placed on injured reserve, which means he has to miss at least the next four weeks.

As reported by ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter on Friday, offensive tackle Troy Fautanu suffered a knee injury and was considered out indefinitely. It is now being reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers will be placing the rookie right tackle on Injured/Reserve. The Steelers are preparing to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in the home opener.

Fautanu was scheduled to make his second career start when the Steelers (2-0) host the Chargers (2-0). The 23-year-old Washington product had been slowed by a knee injury during training camp but impressed coach Mike Tomlin when he was cleared to return earlier this month.
