I can not answer about water falls in the San Isabell national park. There are many miles that go into deeper forests that may have water falls which require hiking into the forests.

First of all, it's San Isabel. Second, what kind of fish are you after, and do you prefer stream, lake, shore, or boat? It is a large area with a huge elevation range. There really are no crappie places to go (get it?). I would contact the ranger station in La Veta or the Colorado Fish and Wildlife Service for tips on speciific areas and don't forget to pick up a Colorado fishing license.
What would be the best district to visit? Or best camping sites?
A:
BUENA VISTA area has a lot of hiking, rafting, and various campgrounds to choose from. It has world class fishing and the collegiate peak range is awesome

Hi! Coming from Denver you just take I-25 until you get to the Colorado City exit. Take that exit and go right through Colorado City and then Rye. Just keep going until you see signs that says San Isabel. There is a small grocery store and one restaurant up there. Enjoy I'm sure the colors are great now.

When you are on Lake San Isabel follow the outlet of the river which is the St Charles River, across the dam down stream. Its only about a 15 minute walk to the natural slide area. The water is very cold even in the summer months. You can park your vehicle on hwy 165 by the outlet, walk across the street towards the river and follow the stream downstream.
